This is a 2.0 steel rod car and I want to get a bigger turbo.

I only run 48 psi on 6766 with Ethanol so I am not maxed out on 6766 but I have this setup for 3 years and within this 3 years car got fairly light, mechanical fuel pump, 8 injectors, aftermarket fuel cell with methanol ready 10an fuel lines, car never overheated from the day one, head stays and intact in this stage IMO only bottleneck would be billet steel rods.

6870 seems not that big of an upgrade but I am not sure which turbo to get. I can get alloy rods in near future as well but in this stage I just want a turbo refresh and experience a bigger turbo 70+mm

It made 775whp on a mustang dyno at 40psi with E85

Engine wise, I have electric water pump, PS and AC is removed. There is only the alternator on accessories belt. Other than the alternator engine powers the dry sump pump and the mechanical fuel pump.

Go to a Gen2 6870, or Gen2 7675. Hopefully you have a T4 twinscroll manifold.

Since my engine is 2 liters and it is going to be limited due to steel rods, my original plan was to get the 0.98 A/R T4 Divided GEN2 7675, use it a bit than get the alloy rods, refresh the engine along with the rods and depending on the backpressure and spool characteristics get another A/R housing.

I understand that 6870 with GEN2 wheel spools better than 6766 and makes more power, but what about the spool characteristics of GEN2 7675 compared to 6766 ?

Also I am really curious about FP's side of the deal. There are couple fast DSMs and Evo's running FP's turbochargers but I really don't want to play trial and error on 4K$ turbochargers.

I'm not super familiar with spool characteristics, but at this point you're clearly in drag racing territory and probably revving the motor out to 10k rpm. Not sure spool is a big deal. I feel like most of these options are going to light around 6k.
