Installing FP SS Black; what clutch to run? (Also what numbers to expect on e85?)

Will be throwing on a ss black in the next couple of weeks but i highly doubt my current comp stage 2 clutch will hold. Was debating of either going act 6 puck sprung or exedy triple? (Really against triple as it costs almost 3 times; but worst case I will go that route) I dont mind the rougher riding from the 6 puck as it isn't driven much in traffic.

Also what do you guys think I will realistically make. Fully built 2.0L Longblock on e85 with tubular headers and stock IM. (More then enough fuel to support up to 850+whp). Hoping to break 600whp.

Thanks guys

What do you use the car for? If it's not drag races/launched a lot, I would go with an Exedy HD twin.

Car should make 650+ on E85.

Sorry for not adding on; car def won't be a track car; not at least for a while. I just like having fun with it from time to time; In between of a weekend car and DD.

Really was trying to steer away from the Twin as I've read up of it not holding a ton of power after a while. (Planning on hitting the track next year after an upgraded tranny). Glad to hear I'll be able to break 600. I was having second thoughts of the setup.

Exedy twin is a good choice but what do u mean "after a while" clutches do need to be serviced "after a while" just select the appropriate twin with the correct clamp load/force for your needs and u should be fine.

Since I don't drive the car much; I wouldn't want to buy a twin and then upgrade to a triple. Was hoping to hear a 6 puck response but it seems I may have to just bite the bullet and go with the twin/triple.

Well, if you buy a 6 puck, it's not going to hold as much as an Exedy HD twin. And it certainly won't drive as nice. So I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

Exedy twin will do the job.

My comp stage 2 been holding 500/400+ for over a year and a half now no problem. However I’m going exedy twin probably next year.

His car will be make a lot more than 400wtq. Torque is what makes the clutch slip.

Yep, exactly; I felt the exedy twin disk could be borderline holding power. I guess my only viable option is either a exedy triple disk or QM twin?

An exedy hd twin will hold around 550wtq for launching/drag racing purposes, and closer to 600 for not launching. If you think you need more, you'll need a triple, or a QM.
