Installing FP SS Black; what clutch to run? (Also what numbers to expect on e85?)

Will be throwing on a ss black in the next couple of weeks but i highly doubt my current comp stage 2 clutch will hold. Was debating of either going act 6 puck sprung or exedy triple? (Really against triple as it costs almost 3 times; but worst case I will go that route) I dont mind the rougher riding from the 6 puck as it isn't driven much in traffic.

Also what do you guys think I will realistically make. Fully built 2.0L Longblock on e85 with tubular headers and stock IM. (More then enough fuel to support up to 850+whp). Hoping to break 600whp.

What do you use the car for? If it's not drag races/launched a lot, I would go with an Exedy HD twin.

Car should make 650+ on E85.

Sorry for not adding on; car def won't be a track car; not at least for a while. I just like having fun with it from time to time; In between of a weekend car and DD.

Really was trying to steer away from the Twin as I've read up of it not holding a ton of power after a while. (Planning on hitting the track next year after an upgraded tranny). Glad to hear I'll be able to break 600. I was having second thoughts of the setup.

Exedy twin is a good choice but what do u mean "after a while" clutches do need to be serviced "after a while" just select the appropriate twin with the correct clamp load/force for your needs and u should be fine.

Since I don't drive the car much; I wouldn't want to buy a twin and then upgrade to a triple. Was hoping to hear a 6 puck response but it seems I may have to just bite the bullet and go with the twin/triple.

Well, if you buy a 6 puck, it's not going to hold as much as an Exedy HD twin. And it certainly won't drive as nice. So I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

My comp stage 2 been holding 500/400+ for over a year and a half now no problem. However I’m going exedy twin probably next year.

His car will be make a lot more than 400wtq. Torque is what makes the clutch slip.

Yep, exactly; I felt the exedy twin disk could be borderline holding power. I guess my only viable option is either a exedy triple disk or QM twin?

An exedy hd twin will hold around 550wtq for launching/drag racing purposes, and closer to 600 for not launching. If you think you need more, you'll need a triple, or a QM.

Im on fp black too. just changed to ATS twin plate and its holds fine. refer to link below
