Water pump block off help

2 questions.

Does anyone one know why the Frontline Fab water pump block off plate has a wall separating the 2 holes in the block? OEM pump appears to pull from both of these holes.

2nd Question - do any of the FF water pump block off plates fit and cover the holes on a 4G64 block?? They make a Evo, 7 bolt, and 6 bolt versions. But not a -64 specific version.

The Plate that STM sells is flat, doesn't even have the pocket machined out. Would guess it doesn't;t matter.

Yes that I believe is a true block off - completely seals it off. The Frontline piece has a -16ORB port for hooking up an electric water pump. I'm wondering if there is benefit to sucking from BOTH openings, or if sucking from just the rearmost is best. I.E., was that wall intentional or an oversight.

STM's description states you can drill it and put a fitting on it though. Do those ports not connect? If not , it would seem one goes the front cylinder one, and the other to rear. Would prob want water going into both.

I believe they connect inside the casting. Just thought one could get more flow with less pressure drop if it pulled from both ports.

Well I tried the Evo version and the DSM 7-bolt verison and neither fit correctly.

One more question to anyone with an Evo 9 who has used this --- what did you do for the Alternator bracket that attached to the OEM water pump now that it's gone? Any pics of your solution?

You could just port/cut that divider out.
