I'd be more concerned about that one plug you melted in one cylinder. Did we already talk about getting your injectors flow tested in this thread?

Ask re you ordered it from if you can a exchange it for a 9 gasket. If they won't 4-5 thou isn't a huge deal. You should be pulling timing anyways.

Les isn't more, its more like you're just running too much timing, unless peak torque is at like 5500.

Ok so let me re type this. Im targeting 18 degrees uptop. So my map has 18 degrees but we know the ecu doesnt follow the map to the t. So i see 15-16 degrees uptop. 2 -3 degrees at peak

I havent gotten the injectors tested. That plug issue was last year. Did not happen along with this times concern.

Although i should probably send them out.

What else could have done that to my spark plug? I was thinking detonation but head or piston domes show no pitting or any signs of it.

Heat and pre-ignition do that. Pre-ignition is a silent killer. Leaves no signs until there is a hole in the piston. It doesn't leave the pitting like the knock/detonation does.

Ive been running too lean obviously.

Im going to retune for a richer afr to cool things down this time around. I just feel like the car rips harder with the leaner afr.

I will also have my injectors bench tested to eliminate that possibilty

If the car "feels" better with leaner AFR, your ignition isn't up to snuff and you're getting some minor spark blow out and mini misfires. As Abacus said, and I've seen this too, there isn't an appreciable difference in power between low-mid 11's, and high 11's-12. Consider gapping your plugs down to .020", and new coils (153k is a lot of miles, yours are likely tired if they're original) or a COP kit.

As far as timing, my car hit's the target in the map. I do know that some car's don't.

Is a cop kit really worth it? Will the car make cleaner power? I dont feel any break up so idk that i have blow out. I usually run bpr8es gapped down to 21. I just threw in a set of BP8ES gapped at 21 recently. The car felt RAW with these new plugs.

Exactly, you change plugs and the car feels better. It has mini misfires and general poor combustion before it really starts breaking up and missing bad enough that you feel each misfire.

If the car isnt hitting the timing that's in the map per that specific load and RPM then wouldn't that suggest that its hearing noise and pulling timing?

Also, a BP8ES is a pretty cold plug especially on e85. Personally my car likes the Iridiums way more than coppers and have had good luck with BPR7EIX.

Yeah, theres that too. Don't need 8's until ~800whp.

Ive always run 8s. Maybe ill give the irdiums a shot.

As far as the timing. Im not seeing any knock uptop. usually sperratic phantom knock down in the low load areas of 200 and below.

I guess it makes sense now to why it feels so clean every time i swap spark plugs.

I replace my spark plugs about every other oil change.

So back to the ignition part of things. Is there any other options to coils besides a cop set up?

You have a few options for the coils. Leave your stockers which might be old and tired, swap on another set of OEMs, non CDI COP and COP with CDI which is way overkill for you.

If tuned correctly it does.
