Anyone know which oil filter housing is the correct one for a 2.4 build? MD310609 seems to be the correct one for the 4G64 donor 2002 eclipse and that is listed as the part that was used on my current build. I would think the MD372813 for the Evo should be used since it has the oil cooler ports and the bypass/thermostat thresholds would be correct for a FI motor? I may have wrong one on the car and want to correct it if needed.

i bought a 4g64 long block that had the MD310609 on it... but i wanted to run a oil cooler so i bought the MD372813 and it bolted right up.
no issues.

 

Thanks, I'll have to look at my old motor because I apparently had the 310609 bought new for it and was running a larger oil cooler... That doesn't seem right to me.
