Angry Diaqueen GL5 LSD banned?!

Hey guys,

I just had a unsuccessful trip the Mitsubishi dealership where I was trying to pick up two bottles of the precious Daiqueen GL5 LSD nectar for the transfer case and rear diff.

The guy behind the counter said that they just had a sell-stop on that part number, and that the EPA said it contains hazardous substances, so they can't sell it anymore.

My first reaction was confusion... "What does that mean?"

I then asked what an I supposed to fill my transfer case with then? The person behind the parts desk said ,"Just use another 90W oil"

What the heck did he just say? The Mitsubishi dealership just told me to fill the transfer case of my Evolution with some generic 90W oil... Obviously, he doesn't know anything about the drivetrain of the Evo.

I walked away very angry and confused. Lol

While sitting in the car, I ordered 2x bottles of Diaqueen GL5 LSD and 3 bottles of Redline for the transfer case from maperformance.com

Has anyone else had issues buying Diaqueen from the dealership?

Yeah, use red line 75w90 or 75w140, works great.

I would not use shock proof.

For max effort drag racing application, sure.

Not for a street car though.

Just curious, but any particular reason for that?
