i have this ticking noise not at idle but rpm dependant cant really hear it unless you passing a car coming from both sides wheels... there is the faintest dent on the sump possible from clutch replacement any idea what this ticking could be

 

put on lift and let run in 2nd gear... see what you can hear.
could be all kinds of things.

 

i had a ticking noise after a hard shift once, only happened in neutral and second gear almost sounded like rod knock. it ended up being that i broke second gear.

 

Had a member here bend the piece of tin clutch cover and it was rubbing the flywheel.
