Injectors?

I知 trying to squeeze out the most hp I can out of my evo 9. I知 pretty much bolt on. I am doing a 91 pump build. There痴 no e85 near me. I知 getting a 255 walbro. Would bigger injectors be needed too?

I was able to max my bolt on 9 right on the edge of the stock injectors at 353whp.

This was on 93, there may have been some more boost I could throw at it, 28lbs was where I stopped.

I would at least go with 880cc or 1000cc just to have room to spare. I'm sure you will be adding mods in the future.

I am a vendor for Injector Dynamics, and I can get you any size injectors for a good price. I think ID725s would be a good safe option, but it really comes down to your future plans. You said you're doing a 91 pump build. Does that mean you're going big turbo down the line? Or does your build stop at the bolt ons? To determine what size injectors you do or will need, you have to have some sort of a goal in mind, otherwise you risk wasting money on something that wasn't right for your setup.

Go with some 1000cc injectors. Leaves room to grow a little. You can source a used set pretty cheaply in the market place or FB.

I'm interested as well.
for a full bolt on with a Walbro and 71hta on only 91, what size injectors for stock idle and start up.

you can get large injectors, but i dont know which brand offers the best idle without cold/warm start issues.

In the past you might have to evaluate hp goals and buy injectors that we're "just big enough" so you could get by with the fewest compromises in driveability. Now injector technology has improved to the point where that's no longer the case. Buy once and be done. I've tuned 1650's on numerous setups and they idle, drive and boost just like stock, if not better. Don't waste your money on incremental injector upgrades.

so which do you suggest? RC ID FIC. Pretty much like OP, won't do E-85 and bolt ons with 91 oct

for a similar size turbo (hks 7460) on 2.0 and pump fuel we use 1000 cc ASNU and warlbro 255

This is just my opinion, but the FIC high Z 1650's are the injectors to get. If you ever find yourself looking at injectors after that it's because you got into competitive drag racing.

Run the stock injectors till you need to upgrade. Your injector idc will tell you while tuning. If you have to buy them then get some that allow you room to grow. If you are power hungry, you will need to feed the beast later anyway. Don't go crazy though

you will need injectors absolutely! I ran my ix to the limit on pump and stock turbo (378hp). I first had precision 680s or 720s I think, and they were at 80% DC (you never want to go to 100%). Later, I switched to Nostrum Motors injectors which have spray targeting (got me the extra 10 or 15 hp to get the 378 on the dyno). anyway, on that note, Id be willing to part with the precision injectors if youre looking for a set that will meet your goals.
