Here it is with engine installed. The subframe braces aren’t installed yet. Hangs about as low as the down pipe, so as long as you don’t hit a brick just inboard of the RF wheel you should be safe.

Yeah. It's 1.25" longer than the standard filter. They sell a shorter one that is 12gpm. I may be exchanging them out.

I get that. It makes perfect sense to use the stubby for break in. But I was planning on using mine all the time, so I wanted the higher 15g/min of the standard filter size.
Definitely user choice 🍺

Sorry to ask but do you have the parts number for the spin on filter and the oil filter ?? Trying to find out which on you guys are using for the evo 8 ?
links for the spin on oil filter and the oil filer from amazon you said you saved money on.

Update: Used the 15gpm filter during a track day, and upon removal found the element had been pressed tightly against the inner retaining cage, and the adhesive used to seal the element at either end had collapsed due to a pressure differential. from high flow rates.
I will not be using the full pass filter for extended high rpm use like track use. I recommend the standard filter type for that, and run this guy for daily driving.
