Who sells a quality flywheel?

Lots of choices, a trustworthy name like Exedy or Fidanaza ,
what kind of quality are the XTD or FX racing, or other eBay brands.

Anybody running these with no issues? Looking for a something to hold up to a stock set for a year or so.

Thanks

Im running an exedy flywheel since my first clutch replacement. I shaved it when i did my second clutch about 2 years ago and still feels fine.

I would be hessitant to buy cheaper mainly for two reasons.
1) Not knowing the density of the metal (possible warping)
2)if something goes wrong with the flywheel, it means pulling trans to check things out.

I see clutches on ebay for evos for like 200 dollars, but is still go name brand just because of what the clutch does.

Hope that helps!

I would look for some kind of sfi rating like the ACT or Competition Clutch. I to was on the market for a flywheel and just wasn't comfortable with those xtd flywheels.. Not much info on them and its too risky taking that chance with expensive drivetrain components. I spent the extra money on the tried and true ACT.

What's wrong with reusing the one that came on the car from the factory?

Its an evo 5 so it has the smaller 230mm clutch so I need the evo7+ flywheel.

ACT is great, but I don't want a huge left leg. And the car will stockfish for a while.
So I think I will go with the Exedy stuff.

Thanks guys

Afaik the ACT is lighter than stock. The first time I did my clutch i resurfaced the OEM flywheel but this time around I had to replace it. You can't go wrong with exedy but I remember it being more expensive but anyway good choice.

Installing an ACT flywheel will have zero effect on your left leg. Stick with quality known brands; Exedy, ACT, Comp. I would only do Fidanza if they have a steel option.
