hi members, i have a buschur racing double pumper fuel pump, about a week ago it started to whine when the car would be at idle, as far as i know the buschur double pumper uses a walboro 255 lph pump, does this mean i need to replace both the pumps and the whine is a sign of the pump letting go?

 

If it's continuously whining, I'd guess it is your primary pump. Second pump shouldn't run until preset demand.

 

When the noise changes, it means the pressure has changed so you should measure the pressure.

 

how do i know which one is the primary pump on the buschur unit?

 

i would need a fuel pressure guage for it? and what should be the normal pressure for the fuel?

 

Listen for the relay that clicks when starting engine and follow the wire to the pump
