We haven't had any problems with this. One of our test evo's has a ralliart thermostat and the other has a stock thermostat. Neither have raised temperatures above normal.
Some people were asking what the effects would be if the car was driven through pouring rain with the forced air shroud.
In the past 2 months of having the shroud installed on both of our test evos. We've driven through pouring rain numerous times. We have not had any problems with water being injested.
That being said, water does have a better chance of going up the intake track with any ram air setup. The amount would be so minute that it would either stop at the filter or have negative effect on the engine.
