400whp+ on stock higher mileage block

Hey everyone

So my car is an 05 Evo 8 MR and made 331 awhp and 334 awtq @21 psi. I am getting an fp green installed, along with new injectors and a few other stuff. The only thing I'm concerned about is that my car has 121k miles on the stock block. How much hp and boost can I safety make/ push on pump 93 and E85 without blowing a hole in my block?! If anyone has a higher mileage Evo with a stock block, plz comment your experience. Thanks.

As long as the engine is in good health and maint is up to date it should be fine. Do a comp test and change plugs. Timing belt exc. try to keep TQ below 400 to keep the stock rod bolts happy.

Yea literally spent over 4k with new pulleys, timing belt, plugs, etc so it's been maintained properly (since I've had it) so I think should be good..

03 Evo VIII 140000 miles am currently at 505 Whp/ 405 tq E-70 and 400Whp on 93! Stock block and internal! I drive the car like it was meant to be driven but I also maintain it and address all the issues when something does feel right fix it. You should be fine but it really come down to the tuner I know that when he was tunning my car we didn't get no knock and I also ask him no to tune it to the egde and he understood me. It's blast to drive it on that flex fuel mod

Yes everyday of the week i drive this beast! I was like you and worry during my tune but my tuner has over 10 years of experience in the DSM and own a Evo IX that is making over 700HP. My tune is safe and I beated on it last Saturday running turbo BMW, G37, Genesis etc. Fun to drive just love to drink that corn fuel too quickly. But It is FUN. Trust me my wallet aint that deep if I threw a rod I will be **** but things happen sometimes. I'm a diesel mechanic and shyt break sometime. But the car has been good so far so good. My compression was low 119 118 119 120 (dry). Only got tune for about 3 three week now.

im @ 160k, DD, and have been at ~400 wheel tq and ~420WHP since 2010. Exclusively running E85. The tune is important, and so is staying on top of all maintenance and repairs. Paying attention to the car, recognizing when something isn't right, and not pushing it till you investigate/fix it is key. Do have your tuner set up Boost cut on AFR out of range, boost cut on knock, CEL flash on knock, CEL flash on AFR out of range. These are part of tephramod v7 so there is no reason not to have them.

180K 465WHP and 400LB-FT E-85 self tuned.

It's definitely in the tune and maintenance/condition of the engine.
