I have a 2003 Evo8. HKS 272 cams, EWG, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, and bolt ons. The car flashes the Service engine light if the car isn't under load and I rev the throttle. The car will not flash the light once from 0-7500 rpms if the car is under load and at WOT. I can make the engine light flash 80% of the time if I have the car in neutral or the clutch down. It seems to flash first at 2k rpm until 5k when the car hits the limiter. I can run the car in first gear at 3500rpm all the way to 7500rpm with no engine light flashing. My car AFR is 19.5 at idle and it will drop down below 12 if I'm WOT and it will stay at 15 if I'm just driving casually. I have ran out of options for local tuners and mechanics. Could this be Phantom knock? False feedback? Why does the car only flash the light under no load? Thanks any info would be awesome.

 

 

Had the same issue, take it to a tuner to get looked at, they should be able to fix it. it's just a setting on the current tune.
