Cut at upper rpms?

Ok lately I have been getting a cut in power at about 5,ooo
to 7000 rpm's? This happens about 3 times when I get on the gas and take it it to 7000.

What is going on here, fuel cut, timing? How ever I have used some octane booster with the mmt in it about 3 times. Would this have clogged my plugs this soon?

Thanks.
ps. I have a full tank now with fuel injector cleaner, see if this helps out. And it is about 60 degrees here.

Check your plugs first.. the higher boost and more aggressive timing may be causing it to misfire (Misfire without detonation) it kind of feels like a surging/stumbling.. You might want to replace your plugs with one range colder. It started happening to me at about 5000, didn't happen ALL the time, but often enough to notice it was a misfire especially in colder weather, more dense, plus the higher boost due to the freeflowing exhaust mods and dynoflash (which probably maintains boost till a higher RPM)

FYI, our Factory ECU and Solenoid will bleed off boost at around 5000rpm, so it makes sense that you'd notice it after being able to maintain that boost after a flash.

Cheers..

Say Malibu,
what kind of plugs do you think I should use?
It does feel like a stumble at around 4500-5000-5500-6000-6500.
The more I got on it tonight the more it seemed to do it, So I let off. Until a late model 5.0 with tiny tires up front and stickers all over wanted to play. 3rd gear about 40mph,, gased it , he was about 3 cars back. Then at a light wanted more, I dont launch offten, but got it this time, he was wayyyyyy back off the line and just gave,,,,LOLOL,,,fun stuff. Wish it was running smooth.

Would using the octane booster with MMT in it cause the plugs to foul only after using it about 4 times? Or could it be my injecters? And if so what size could I upgrade to, without over doing it?

What should my plugs look like after I pull them.
Also is it a good idea to upgrade your plug wires?

Im looking at going full out here soon as I get this surging resolved. MBC,HKS r/s, and hopefully a dyno tune if there is one close to me anytime soon.

Thanks Alot

This is Why!!!!!!!!

My car cogged and cut at 4000-7000rpms about 4-5times. It got worse and worse. Had my plugs changed today , and wow,,, Brand new car. Also had the Advans put on after driving with the conti's during the winter,, again,,,, brand new car.

Check out these plugs. The tips are pointy, and they are caked balck, with some redish to them.
