evo 8 fuel line

Hey guys, i have searched all around and i have an idea but not completely sure. Im trying to find out how wide is the evo 8 feed and return hoses under the hood. Im trying to convert everything to black nylon braided hose with an fittings but first i need to know the sizes. My friend gave me a fuel lab fpr with a bunch of -6 fittings and new injectors for christmas. As far as i understand, the oem hoses going to the rail is -6 feed and -4 return. Maybe theyre both -4 but people upgrade feed to -6? Some clarity on this would be awesome.

Also, what black braided nylon hose would be e85 compatible? I looked up -6 an black nylon braided flex hose and this seems to be what map and stm uses on their kits?

stock piping is very small... i would think -4.. .but i dont know for sure

you have to buy AN hose that is made to take E85 and any alcohol fuel.

Unless you plan on make around 700whp the stock lines will be fine. People run -6 for both feed and return. Stm sells a kit from pump to rail. Or u can look on summit racing and they sell there own black line which is ok with e85.

Most common is -6 feed and -4 return. You will need the adapter fitting to convert the stock feed hard line to AN. Most people go hardline - -6AN to fuel rail- -6 from fuel rail to AFPR and return with -4 from the regulator back to the stock return hardline. I wasn't able to use a AN adapter on the return line I ended up using a AN hose clamp.
Most AN line will be rated for E85/ alcohol. I have found summit brand AN line and fittings to be the cheapest. Although I did damage one summit -12 hose fitting trying to assemble a hose. Vibrant/ Fragola also makes good stuff but it does cost a bit more. STM uses Vibrant hose & fittings FYI.

There we go that’s what I wanted to know. I know I don’t need to upgrade unless I’m making big power but it’s a gift and why not I’ll just throw it on. My friend gave me a fuel lab fpr with a bunch of -6 fittings. So if I wanted to I can use the factory feed line to rail and other side of rail -6 line to fpr? Also, can’t I just hook up the stock return hose to bottom of fpr?

Ya you could use the factory feed line to the rail - -6AN line from the rail to the FPR, and I bet you could also use the factory return line as well, like you mentioned.
** Your fuel lines should last a while but I would plan on upgrading them to something that is meant to handle E85 in the future. Especially the ones in the engine bay. Just my opinion though.
