Manley Crank question

Hey guys, I smoked my main and rod bearings. I have a Manley rotating assembly 2.3 stroker on a Evo 8 block. My pistons are trashed. Rods look ok machine shop said it looks like the crank can be cut. My question is where can I find the narrowed rod bearings that the kit came with. Thanks

Narrowed rod bearings doesn't make any sense. The only way that would work is if the rod and crank journal were both narrowed as well. Narrower rod bearings aren't good anyway, you want a large journal to distribute force upon.

Interesting....what are the use cases for a narrower rod bearing if the rod bore width doesn't change? Dropping oil pressure? Doesn't seem safe.

Less friction in the rotating assembly. You might pick up like 5hp on a high power build but it's not worth it no matter how you look at it.

Narrowed rod bearings means they took 6 bolt rod bearings (which are wider) and narrowed them to 7 bolt width because back in the day people for some reason though they were still slightly wider when they really weren't once they were chamfered. Just get 7 bolt bearings and you'll be good to go.

if the engine is apart first take the old bearings and read the part numbers to see which ones are in there exactly.. could be just a mistake on the website
