Credit goes to prototypefab who I got the idea from. He may be coming out with a radiator shroud with a air scoop on it. Being impatient I went ahead and made my own with 22 gauge sheet metal.

 

It doesn't take much to be effective. I opted not to cover up the majority of the radiator from it's own air flow. Blow air through the front and you can feel the air rush up.

I don't have quantative data, but in theory it should help since cool air is being directed to the mouth of the intake.

Ok I have already spoken to n00dle so this is not a hijack. Props go to Prototype_fab and Monster Sport for the innovation and to n00dle for bringing the idea to the DIY crowd. I made this today out of some sheet aluminum. Holds up to at least 120mph winds

 

btw, I found that I really didn't need to pull off the front bumper, just push that support tab out of the way a bit for clearance.

Looks good. You found a different way to mount it. Just clean it up with the new one you're making to replace it. If you have a OBDII logger you can see if there's a difference in intake air temps with and without the guide.
