Can not figure out this clunking..

Have an VIII.
It clunks only when accelerating. Accelerate while turning right, clunks. Accelerate while turning left and nothing.

Braking, no clunk. Idle rev, no clunk.

Motor mounts are stock with poly inserts.. no play.
I'd say this started somewhat after a launch, but I cannot honestly say.

Has DSS Stage 2 axles.
Brand new OEM subframe.
Brand new OEM control arms on both sides.
Has stock ball joints, lowered on Fortune 500s.. I have Megan ball joints ready to install as I know OEM dont play well when lowered quite a bit.
Whiteline center roll kit, minus the ball joints(I did not install the new ones at the time because I lost the originals while moving).
New Moog sway bar end links(though both sides are different? Ordered the part numbers provided by Moog)
Driveshaft and yolk does not have any rotational play from what I can tell.

I'm at a loss. I took it to a local shop to double check if I missed anything suspension wise. Nothing. They said the issue had to do with the driveshaft and recommended a local AWD transmission shop. Latest shop confirmed the driveshaft is fine(albeit the connecting bolts are rusted and will most likely break if attempting to remove).

Any idea???

Is clunking coming from rear right?

Exhaust hitting anything? This ones a pain in the *** to check- when you accelerate the engine pitches a bit, so while nothing is contacting at idle when you go to look it may still be contacting when you accelerate.

Thanks for the replies. Been traveling a lot lately.

I brought it to a transmission shop that specializes in AWD/4x4 and they said that they arent sure what it is.

They said the boot on the rear half of the driveshaft looks like it's been bad for a while. Boot is torn up and the grease is gone. It feels most prominent from the front floorboard but very slightly in the seat.

From what I know, this same feeling came when I had a tore up driver ball joint. I replaced the entire control arm, both sides but opted for the OEM ball joints at the time. There was whiteline in there(it was bad). Still has the whiteline tie rod ends on it.

Megan makes a solid ball joint specifically as a competitor to the whiteline kit. I've got those waiting to install. The fortune 500s has a pretty significant drop(fenders about 1/4" from the tires)

I dont see the DSS level 2 axles going bad when its conservatively tuned at around 580hp.

The guy suggests replacing the back half of the driveshaft. The front ujoints bolted to the body are rusted as all hell so it's a chance in regards to just removing the front half as well for now without breaking bolts.

Still at a loss but I appreciate the responses so far

Only clunks at low speed acceleration. No decel clunking or popping. High speed acceleration is barely noticeable for any symptoms
