FP black owners? EBC/Catch can issue

Does anyone run the FP Black with the silicone intake? My issue is that the FP Black doesn't have a boost source tap at the turbo. So at the tap where the oil catch can was routed on the intake is now used by the 3 port EBC and the catch can is vented to atmosphere with a filter. I'm worried part of my rough cold start and idle issues (aside from s3 cams and 1650cc injectors) might have something to do with the MAF freaking out without the recirculated catch can hose? Is there anywhere else i can tap into? J-pipe at the turbo/intercooler?

Lemme know if any of this even matters. I just wanna make sure i've got it all setup correctly.

Thanks!!

The issue is the cams and big injectors and running a MAF.

Other wise a VTA catch can is easily tuned around with the MAF if you were running (smaller) MAF appropriate cams and injectors. This setup should be on speed density.

Great! SD conversion is definitely on the list. Would going SD help my coldstart issue you think? What exactly would an SD conversion solve specifically?

Thanks!

The MAF is not at all happy with dealing with the overlap of those cams. SD will solve start up issues, and the idle issues I'm sure the car has.

Also, the turbo outlet pipe should have a barb on it to use for a boost source. If it doesn't, just get an Evo9 compressor outlet and it will have one on it. The boost controller should not be plumbed to the intake.

the outlet pipe does have a barb on it on the 8, i'll check this out today. I know we plummed that up when we built the car but my tuner changed the 3-port around a bit afterwards and i just trusted him lol.

Thanks again! Imma look into the SD swap asap.
