Need helping on my build, couldn’t decide on what to do.

These are the parts I already have.
morrison V band small runner manifold and down pipe
uhf xona 6157s Vband 63 a.r which is fp red
plazmaman long runner intake manifolds and 66mmTB
and build 2.4 standard rods and oem crank
will use standard Evo 9 head.
TRE built transmission with 4.11 fd
I was planning on built the car for track use.
the problem is now I want to use the car mainly for the streets and here in California, if they cop pop the hood, those parts I have listed just don’t look stock.
so now I want the stock look, and I’m thinking about 4:30-500 e85 still want to keep MAF if possible .
Are 2.0xtr too small for 2.4L or should go to mhi fp red or maybe green?

I can build you a stock appearing turbo that is similar to your 6157 except it uses 54mm 9 blade turbine or the standard 59mm (9 or 11 blade). So it will pass visual smog inspection.

If you have a 2.4 you do not want to choke it.

The FP black MHI is proven to spool up well and make 650+whp on a nice setup.

@Abacus I love your build, my plan was kind like your 2.1L, I even bought the 153 mm rods and stroker pistons for it for track use, but with COVID-19 stuff and we can’t go anywhere or track, I use my Evo mostly street and got me change my mind and want to use the Evo 9 mainly for street, that why I bought 2.4L short block and thinking of a smaller turbo,
i always big fan of fp red and I don’t think I will ever go bigger than that, that the reason I got xona 6157s which is fp ufh red. If anything I will keep that turbo and see how it do, since I will use 2.4L that turbo show get full boost around 4200k or early I hope.
and thank you for response

In the stock twin scroll turbine housing, you will always choke the engine after 6500-7000 rpms. The only option to help is to use the 9 blade design to reduce backpressure. The 59mm compressor wheel will move more air than the 55mm to help airflow (with more lag).
Here is are some pictures to show you the difference between stock 49mm 12 blade turbine wheel and 9 blade and a picture of the 9 blade 59mm I suggested using with 55mm or 59mm compressor wheel. The last picture is 60mm vs 55mm compressor wheels (big difference in size and lag). But with 2.4L, the lag may not be too much more.
