Arlington Machining Oversize Headstud Washers

I've been looking for a set of over size washer for my Evo 8 head with ARP 625 studs. We know the washer ARP supplies will dig into the head when torqued over 100ft.
The solution was to get a set of Whalen Speed washers but I've been unable to source it from them. Arlington machining out in Cali has his own set that fits like a glove.

ARP Washer size:
OD: 0.8115in(20.61mm)

Arlington Washer size:
OD 0.9475in(24.07mm)

As you can see, it's a whole 4mm bigger which fits like a glove in the washer groove.

I never had an issue with the Whalen washers, but since he stopeed selling them, i started using ARP 200-8532. Which is 7/8 OD (.875") with a chamfer.

I was about to install those washers but that's what I just read from maperformance website " They are not of the hardness required for use on cylinder heads, mains and connecting rods."

They're 8740 chromoly, which is....hard. Not sure why MAP's website says that. All the washers in the ARP stud kits are same material.
