RossSport 2.2L stroker kit reviews ?

Hey guys.
Anyone using the RossSport 2.2 stroker kits. Whats you take on them ?
I am looking at using the 94mm BW Billet Crank with Oliver Extreme I beam 153mm and Wiseco HD 86mm pistons.

Being in South Africa there is nothing available here.
Have seen many bad reviews about the manley cranks and I'm not sure the Eagle forged cranks will handle the power long term.
Current set up was 2.3L with oem crank which spun a bearing, but car made north of 700whp. Hoping to stay around similar power but want a rock solid reliable bottom end.

I'm not sure about the Bw and manley stuff. I've heard nothing but great things about Callies(Crank and Rods) and K1(crank). As of last week, callies has the 94mm crank and I beams in stock.

Do you have a link to a shop with the Callies crank and rods?

The manley crank situation is similar to the NA Porsche IMS bearing deal. Blown out of proportion.

There were a few 100mm manley crank issues over the years but tuning plays a large roll on that. If you rattle anything hard enough it will break. A Stroker crank has less material then a normal crank. A few stock 88/100mm cranks have broke as well. Manley has updated the crank design to increase strength in late 2019 or so.
FWIW, Tscomp is still building plenty of manley 100mm engines that make power and live. If it was an issue, I'm certain he would've changed or the internet would talk about it. The 100mm crank is a nice piece but should be kept under 750whp/8300 or so.

I'm running a 5 year old manley 94mm crank . It sees 500lb ft by 4000 on the small turbo car.
The guys at AG have made 1200ish on a 88/94 mm manley crank . I wouldn't worry about it . Pay close attention to tuning, fuel and how the car is used.

The Eagle forged has also been run hard.

Plenty of good options but at the end of the day, no matter how strong the parts are they can break under certain conditions. The 94mm crank works well for 700whp and high rpm.

Was just looking to gather as much info before buying any parts and the few stories about Manley came up while searching. Like you say all the big name stuff should be good if everything else is in order.

It has become really frustrating now as I owned the car for 2 months and its now been standing in the workshop for almost 3 months, so I am at that point of just getting everything done asap.

going with the 94/153mm combo from Ross, more importantly they have everything I need in stock and saves me the hassle of buying from multiple places. Although there isn't much reviews about the BW crank I'm going to take a chance with it.

I think this will be a fun combo to drive.

If you buy callies go order straight from the company. I tried a third party (Raw brokerage is is sh*t) and after 3 months they refunded me the money. On callies website somewhere is a picelist.I struggled to find it. Go with that price. When i contacted a representative via fb he gave me a +$250 quote stating as a friendly price and when i called they gave me +$80 quote stating that was their regular price. Only after i linked the pricelist i paid according to that but they charged me +$50 for shipping!!! No need to say that there was a 3 weeks delay over the ETA and had to email them the correct address 3 times before they get it right. If i had to do that again i would go with a K1, no matter how good their product is

Ross 2.2 kit ordered and now just to wait for shipping to SA.
Speaking more to my engine builder and he mentioned that Ross has been 1 of his main suppliers for Evo parts to South Africa so as long as the shop was happy I decided to finalize everything.

Will get a build thread going soon.
But for now its
Ross BW 94mm billet crank
Oliver 153mm Rods with 625 bolts
Wiseco 86mm HD pistons
ARP 625 head kit
Kiggly HLA
Bigger oil pan
Using old HTA82 turbo for now on TS mani. Will get a new TS mani and decide on new turbo once I recover financially from this engine build.
Goal 650-700whp.
