Crank case pressure oil leak

I just read the last 55 pages of the crank case pressure thread, but didn't really see anyone with my issue. I just got my Evo tuned on an FP black a few months back. When I got the car and drove it 100 miles home it didn't have any leaks. Went out did a pull, and the next time i took the car out saw a wet spot on the pass side of my garage floor. Did a Pull on the way to work and when i left same thing a spot of oil on the ground.

I have since let the car run to operation temp but do not see any leaks. I am starting to think the leak is related to crank case pressure. I have a catch can set up but seems to not be working well. I have a 10AN fitting on the back of the valve cover and the 6 AN push in fitting on the front with a vented dipstick tube, but the dips stick does pop out.

I am thinking about having Tom drill out the side port and maybe add the STM fitting on the front/back of the block.

Do we think a leak can be cased from to much crank case pressure and will fixing the venting fix the leak? Any helps would be great.

Please move if this should be under the other tread.

yup little bit here and there helps.
Anyway, you should just go for the biggest VC ports. those piston rings will only get less efficient and let more blowby volume to deal with

I would highly recommend adding a 6AN line off the balance shaft inspection hole, this will relieve some pressure before it makes it to the head.
I went overkill on my setup and did a 1/2NPT (12AN) port on the front of my block, solved my "oil in the catch can" issues with track-day use.

The front balance shaft port fills the catch can with oil, I would recommend against that.

Source- Filled/overflowed my catch with oil with front b-shaft port line

Tug on your dipstick, if there is no resistantance, it needs new orings. When the orings are worn, any smallest amount crank case pressure can push it out and cause oil spillage.

Is the front balance shaft breather what comes with the STM KIT?

Also check the dip stick. A not excessive amount of crank case pressure can pop the dip stick out if the orings are shot.

.
so pressure is one thing. it also matters how you'd separate oil from the air you're venting out. there baffling/oil separation within the engine, there's also external oil separation/drain back to engine before the final catch can. it depends really on what you have time for. I'm not sure if Mike is still using baffling material in the VC... it's something I want to try one of these days

and we're telling you to take care of your leaks and maybe port size first. then see if your catch can set up is enough
currently the 'best way' is to remove your AC and drill the block

@LetsGetThisDone I think you have drilled out the valve cover like Tom did, I am having an issue finding a 5/8 to 10AN fitting to use. Can you show me what you use or have any idea where to find the right size fitting.

Edit This is what I have found https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/110167/10002/-1

It's 1/2" pipe to 10an

But, again, I don't think your oil leak is crankcase pressure
