Question Evo 8 cylinder head in 2023?

Hey folks!
My brother's Evo 8 had a stock engine when the timing belt failed.
He's building a new engine and looking for an OEM cylinder head. Want to remain stock on the powertrain. I heard Mitsubishi doesn't make them anymore (discontinued). Is there any on sale right now anywhere?
I just spend an hour searching online and had no luck... Are there any still left in this world or it's all over for the Evo 8 era????

Your best bet is getting the damaged one fixed.

Used heads are out there but they're starting to get more expensive. Alternatively you could swap to a Hyundai G4JS head, all of the internals (valves, rockers, lifters etc) are a direct fit but the valve cover and coolant outlet are different.

the hyundai g4js head is the same one as the evo 8 head the crankshaft is also forged. cars it comes with is the hyundai sonata 2000-2004 ;] and if you want to do a 6 bolt swap the 1991-1993 hyundai elantra comes with a 4g63 .

Looks like 1005A596, 1005A904, and MN155744 are discontinued.
MD340429 is the latest part number for what seems to be a bare cylinder head in terms of price. I am guessing this is a limited inventory item and once they sell through all the existing ones there are no more available.
Which is why I have seen more attempts to make a billet version popping up.
