Baffled Sump

Im starting to do alot of trackdays & Time Attack events over here in aus and with running the super sticky Hankook Z221 semi slick i thought it would be a good idea to help with oil starvation.

I have already ordeered the Tomei scraper kit and the Kiggley HLA for the head, i just need to sort a baffled sump out.

Ideally id like to go for the Racefab one from New Zealand but hes got a 12 week wait and ive got a few time attack rounds between now and then.

The other solutions im looking at are the JUN baffled sump or the Aeroflow baffled sump.

Ive found some info & reviews on the JUN sump which seems good, would be better if it could hold more oil but it is what it is. I cant find any reviews on the Aeroflow sump which is a pain as it holds a fair bit more oil which seems good but theres no data to back it up to see if its any better than stock.

What do you guys think? surely nore oil is better than the std amount of oil but it could not be as good as stock or worse?

Pics of both below

Cheers
Ben

i switched from the racefab to the infinite evo. i have reason to believe my engine failed running the racefab sump. i had the kiggly and tomei scraper.

the infinitive evo sump with external oil pressure regulator is the way to go. there are reasons to keep the wet sump - especially if your car is a street car. there are a lot of headaches you're going to introduce with any system more complicated. all the US street time attack cars are running the infinite evo system.

the tomei is not good enough. buschur copied the design, it just adds a baffle into an otherwise stock pan.

since the inception of the racefab, there have been many, many similar pans that have come out that essentially add some baffles and ~2-2.5qts of increased capacity. they're all similar, but only the infinite evo sump uses the external regulator

Ben I use a Moroso sump w swinging gates front & rear & the Kiggly oil restrictor. I welded a half circle 18mm high to the floor about 40mm larger in dia than the rectangular pickup. During accel & cornering the smiling half circle is there to slow down the speed of the oil flying past the bottom of the pickup. Deccel I can't see it starving with plenty of head of oil weight. Pics not on my phone.
cheers

What's a new engine worth? $15k ++?
What's a dry sump kit installed worth? $8-10k?

Infinite Evo sump will get you 90% of the way to dry-sump performance.
Racefab, Moroso and Aeroflow aren't even close. If you're serious about your oil pressure, you should only use these on street cars (not track use).

Racefab vs InfiniteEvo. Same car, same driver, same oil level, same oil, same tyre, same circuit. 6 days apart, within 0.5sec lap time.

Ben
Let me know if there is anything you need a hand with, setting up the oil pressure etc.
PM me here or DM the instagram @InfiniteEvo page.
If you're unsure what to set your oil pressure to, measure what you're at with the OEM setup, then just adjust to read the same.
Hot oil pressure is the main target, a 15min drive will get you up to the normal operating temps!
