Turbo Analysis

"Hello, esteemed members. This is my first post on this wonderful forum. Recently, I acquired an Evo 9 Turbo. Upon its arrival, I noticed a chipped fin on the exhaust side. I'm seeking advice: should I proceed with the installation? Thanks in advance!"

No the compressor wheel is damaged and out of balance now. You can send it to get it repaired but then you might as well buy another Evo 9 turbo for the repair cost.

- I have been informed and reassured by my seniors that it’s a fully working and tested turbo which isn’t any different to a regular evo 9 turbo. Curious, will the ball bearing counter the turbulence caused by the slightly chipped turbine wheel fin?

The turbine being chipped will cause an imbalance. I wouldn't run it.
