RMR or ACT 6 puck clutch
RMR or ACT 6 puck clutch
They are both relatively affordable. My question is which one has some give, so that I don't cause too much drivetrain shock? I don't need to get the most killer 60' times, I just want something that has some give, and will last longer then the stock EVO8 clutch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Just go with the ACT full face clutch, you do not need the six puck. The full face clutch will lock hard, but the six puck will really lock down and put a lot of strain on the drive train.
I agree with joey. After a 25 minute conversation with RPS this afternoon, a 6-puck is great if you're hardcore and really want a grabby clutch that can handle some slippage but, in the long run, won't last long.
If it's a weekend driver that you don't mind dropping the tranny and replacing/rebuilding the disk every 10,000 miles, I'd go with the 6-puck. Otherwise, full-face is the way to go.
