Clutch Q

I recently burned the clutch on my 05 and I found someone that will give me a clutch from an 03 that they don't need. Are 03 and 05 clutchs pretty much interchangable?

All the guy wants is a case of beer. Apparently it's in pretty imaculate condition too. Would it be better to just get one for a 2005?

yeah that would be in best interest cause when mine burned out I bought a stage 2 for 4-500 so depends on what stage of clutch you want

That first one looks pretty nice but a little more than I want to spend right now. If you say clutchmaster isn't bad then that's what I'll go for . I don't need anything too crazy, but an upgrade from OEM would be nice.

Wow...let me shed some light on the situation. First of all, the 02-06 clutches are all the same. I just check the part numbers and they match up. So you could use the 03, it's just a question of whether or not you really want to. Is it a stock clutch or aftermarket? Are you putting the clutch in yourself or paying someone?

The throwout bearing in the 05 is different from the 03. If you do decide to buy the clutch from your friend, you will need to buy a TOB still. You will need the TOB regardless, but some clutch kits include it.

As for the flywheel, you don't have to buy a new one, but your old one will probably have to be resurfaced. It depends on what kind of shape it is in. If it isn't in like new condition, you will want it resurfaced.

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions just ask.

all that will come out to the same price as the 05 why go through all that when you can go straight to the new one??? and while you are at the clutchmasters you should get the flywheel if you have the extra money or like he said you can get you resurfaced. I've already went through this situation and i got a 05 thats how I know what to do

If u put the clutch and pressure plate in thats 2600lbs. Is that going to make the clutch pedal alot harder to press?
