Dog box lockout at high rpm

Hey all,

My Evo 8 has sprung a new issue that's a little puzzling to me.
The car has a TRE dog box with 1-4 Liberty gears, HKS final drive, synchronized 5th, with an exedy triple disc.
Just the other day it has started giving me "lockout issues." During a pull, at high rpm (6500-8500), it will refuse to engage the next gear. Only seems to happen with 3rd or 4th, second has given no issues yet. Being a dog box, it technically "can" shift without the clutch, but I always use it anyway. But that's what's confusing about having a lockout style situation.
The shifter feels like it's binding in these scenarios, but hard to say for sure. It has solid engine mounts and shifter bushings already. Once engine rpm drops, I can rev match and shift back fine. Low rpm shifting is as usual, no issues.
Also note, the car has always had minor unfixable clutch drag. I've bled the system many times, replaced the clutch line with a one piece stainless one, adjusted the fork stop properly, adjusted the master cylinder, etc.
While it's always had some clutch drag, I've still been able to shift at high rpm before no problem before now.
Also note 2, recently the car has started to shudder worse when leaving from a stop. It's always done it to some degree, but will occasionally shudder more significantly now. The TOB also has always made noise when the clutch is pushed in since I got the car, I'm told it's pretty common.
The car is never launched, only street driving with the occasional rolling pull.
Any idea on what I should look for when I'm unable to shift? Possible linkage issue or a bad shift fork, something else?
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

You should not be upshifting with the clutch. You should have a strain gauge on the shifter for ignition cut, and throw that ***** in the next gear.

Man I wish! As nice as a strain gauge would be, it's not setup for it right now and TRE says it's not really required. He actually recommends always using the clutch regardless. Even still, strain gauge or not, I think the lockout type situation would still be present
