Advise on turbo selection

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have an evo 4, specs are

*2 litre, bottom end fully built
*kelford 268 cams
*1300cc injectors
*maxxecu
*gt35 gen 1 turbo

I've managed to push the car to 330whp(mainline dyno) on 95 Ron. But the gt35 is super laggy and I'm planning on going for a new turbo.

What do you guys think about g25-550, specifically with 0.49 housing to get similar kinda spool as an evo 9 turbo. The goal is to hit 400whp on 95 oct with water meth while having quick spool.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for reading my fairly long post.

In the Bolt On world- FP Red is king. Nothing will make better power, last and be an overall awesome experience like that. But- looks like you're already T3 so I'd say go with a gen2 3076r. They are fantastic response vs power capabilites and will do well on that fuel.

Thanks alot, the gt35 only managed to make 14 psi by about 4700 rpm on 3rd gear and the car felt very lazy untill then as this is my dd and in my country traffic is pretty heavy so short bursts are what im after. Do you think the 3076 will be able to spool up much quicker?

Absolutely. The gen2 GTX3076r is a beast of a turbo. I know alot of people gauge it on RPM a turbos able to make 20psi, you can find a ton of data on Garrets website regarding the unit too.

Thats the one I thought of and couldn't remember the part number for! Its comparable to a red but T3 and would also be my suggestion.

Hit up the dyno section and you can find some dyno charts on similar setups to gauge how it would react on your car.

A small runner t4 TS manifold with the GTX3576r is going to spool equivalent or faster than an open scroll T3 GTX3076r and make more power.
