Wow! That's not good and really interesting. It definitely looks like wear and not like something got run through there to me too.
I'd take the time to re-measure all the main clearances, I wonder if that one was a bit off.
Glad you found the issue and that it seems to be a pretty "simple" fix assuming it all measures out good.
We found one of the oil holes full of this guck for lack of better terms and it was like a mixture of stuff. It was kinda hard to clean out but that's partly on me for mixing lucas lifter tick stuff with moly and Schaeffer's and whatever else I may have put in there over time.
The owner of the shop was like that why we run vr-1 in our cars I'm like Schaeffer's>vr1 any day and every day of the week. Look it up on any bobs oil thing and I will see. He has never heard of Schaeffer's oil and I'm like man go back to porto rico with that ****. They been around 120 years I'd think by now they know how to blend oil. All in all I think I'll do more oil changes more often then I do specially my dumb *** didn't do it after my last dyno session

Yea, that plugged oil port is probably the root of the issue. Good call on being more on top of the maintenance and what goes in the car. I think thats a good starting point.
Never having heard of Schaeffer's is pretty weird and its definitely good oil. VR1 seems solid too but I think you got it figured out that mixing in the lucas plus not staying on top of oil changes was probably a bigger issue than oil brand/type.

Well the problem is was last time we tuned the car it was on fresh oil. We made 40 50 plus passes doing e85 tune and driving stuff. Once we got to like 27 lbs i had fuel pump issues yet again. Fixed that problem and then winter hit yet again and car sat. Once we got rid of the cold i drove it for a week knowing i needed an oil change and it sat. So once i started driving it lifters of course started making noise so i put the Lucas stuff in it and then the car sat again for like a month. Finally getting a day to change the oil and put my uc-10 in i drove it to the shop, changed the oil, put the uc-10 in the car got it all dialed in and as we started to go in reverse the knocking started bad.
So combo of dirty oil, mixture of Schaeffers, moly lube, and Lucas stuff and sitting I think it solidified and clogged one of the ports. Bud oddly i drove the car 60 miles with no noise or any problems. Wasn't till after we changed the oil got stuff done the car did that. So idk
Well I went to pick up my car on Friday. Needless to say I think this car is starting to hate me for whatever reason. So shop it is at, did bushings all round on the car. So my tuner and I took my car to get some food and it was on a bumpy *** road, well long story short we started heading back to the shop and the rear end got really squirrely and heard something hitting something. So I pulled off to the side of the road, pouring rain and my tuner says to me we got a problem. Well no **** right, ends up the new White line rear upper control arm bushing is all tore up, and idk couldn't tell but looks like the control arm is broke. The wheel has a bunch of toe in and the knocking I was hearing was the control arm hitting the wheel weight on the inside of the tire. Limped the car back to the shop being it was like 2 miles at 5 mph. Car is going to be looked at today hopefully but I may need a passenger side rear upper control arm. I have pics of it that I will upload.
