[QUOTE=Darryl@Ultimate Racing]We are currently working on different options to offer the product. More than likely, these will be the options:

- Factory upper intercooler pipe replacement with integrated Blow-Through Meter

...so what is the cost, and is it "calibrated" for a stock Evo, or only specially for your tuned cars?

The blow through MAF is calibrated for the Evo 8. This means that you can basically install and wire the thing into your car, and it will start up. It's not something where you have to find the parameters and set everything. This thing is programmed so that the stock ECU can read it's outputs. The blow through MAF comes with a control box that changes the voltage signals from the blow through MAF into hertz, which the stock ECU can read.

The car drives like stock, with 272's. Idles WAY better than it did with the stock MAF, and power is much more linear.

Hope that answers your question.

I forgot to ask this question earlier with the BlowThrough MAF.. How much more air over stock is it capable of moving (since the stock MAF begins to become a restriction at higher horsepower) and what are its inlet/outlet diameters? I'm psyched to get mine, I will try to get the part number for the plug off the stock MAF sensor so I can create a plug-in harness for it.

The biggest benefit I see with this besides the 'inherant gains' of relocating the MAF sensor into the upper intercooler pipe are you no longer have issues with quirky readings from different air filters. I've been looking for an alternative to a Speed density conversion for quite some time. Back in the day, speed density setups were not the desirable method for fuel injection systems and many converted speed density to MAS setups like this.

I would also be interested in seeing this setup tested against the stock MAF as far as flow rating and power go. Also, if there is any difference in spool-up. I like to see the facts before I decide to drop 600 bux on something. Thanks for any info.

I am assumeing that they give you a brand new MAS and I know these can be expensive but I never thought they were anywere close to $650. I just hope they make the piping + MAS pkg a sweet deal or else Im over it. I only really wanted it for the vent to atmosphere sound and the open intake. Id rather just do BR full piping/intercooler and drop in panel plus Dynoflash. At least the power gains would justify the expense. BTW any dyno sheets for the MAS upgrade yet UR?
