gokou..

if your aftermarket shifter causes a problem (note the IF), how can you say mitsubishi sucks in quality.. you changed the car.. if you put a dead rat in the engine, are you going to blame them for the subsequent blowup?

I've use short shifter on my honda and toyota with no problems. If a short shifter can cause transmission problem then Mit have a bigger problem that they need to address. Quality sucks! Better Design it better! It just goes to shows why they are going bankrupt.

hmm dont know what to say. but i can say the drivetrain on a EVO is more brutal then ur Acura. 2500 miles went in for repair . I am assuming you broke it in properly. Also I know my friend a short shifter installed wrong **** grinded like crazy. And eventually just ruined the transmission. wonder if that was the case in ur situation. Both times your trans went u had the BM shifter installed. And you only know if it was installed right.

It shifts fine into every gear, I don't try to "slam" 2nd, but it never grinds going into any gear, and I do drive a tad aggressively from time to time. Before I put the shifter in, it would grind on the 1-2 shift when done too quickly, so I stopped doing that altogether. The stock one just felt sloppy and vague, with the B&M I am much more confident about what gear I am going into each time.
