Question What air intake do you use????????????????????????

Im looking to get a intake system and was wondering what kind of experiences people on the board have had. Right now Im leaning toward the HKS Racing Suction kit, or the ARC box. Also I was wondering if there have been issues with any of the kits throwing "check/service engine" lights coming on. Thanks................

I use the AEM SRI for my Evo, i love the sound it makes when i nail the throttle. the turbo spools faster, it feels like it lost that extra Oomph in the top end compared to my stock box its probably just me. i like the intake, wouldnt go back to stock it sounds awesome like a jet plane!! i heard that you lose a little tourque but gain a few ponies with the kit. i just need to get my evo tuned and chiped with boltons that i currently have then it will be okay. i do experience sometimes like my engine is going to stall (seldom happens) when i stop at a stop light and put into neutral i have to quickly pump the acclerator to iddle normal. overall i'm happy with the AEM SRI

oh ya so far no check engine lights, as long as you unplug the negative battery when installing the intake.. i've put 2500 miles on mine so far so good no CEL's if i do get one in the future i'll just reset the ECU.

I like Buschur stuff... cheap, easy and it works. Added bonus: the Buschur cone filter kind of matches the color of the burgundy engine cover!

Yeah, a lot of DC guys have tons of mods and stock air box. I put on the intake mostly because I like the sound of the turbo and blow-off, which an intake amplifies.

there is a tread on this about the k&n air filter causing the evo to fuel cut, well i have a cheap ebay mushroom filter and it causes it to fuel cut also! i think all air filters will! i remember reading that a dyno flash will correct it. (thats what im going to try)
