Looking to get a short shifter

I have been looking at the Perrin Short Shifter, and then the other day I read in a magazine about the SKunk2 one thats out, but i really dont think that they make that for the Evo VIII, anyways my question is what have you guys bought and what do you recomend? anything else i should be looking at to improve my shifting? Bushings perhaps? anyways still pretty new to this whole thing but i thought i would post and see if anyone will give me some suggestions.

Thanks

I have the Perrin.... I dont think it helped.... I would skip it, just get the bushing kit (2 pc )... and switch to syncromesh tranny fluid......

Get their 2 peice underhood bushing set and their short shifter. Then get some syncromesh or redline mt-90

Get a kartboy short shifter, shifting is precise and throws are better than stock shifter. Direct bolt-on, No cutting or modification required, you only need to get the upper shifter pivot cup from kartboy or your mitsu dealer.

i have the B&M professional edition with 2 different throw settings. I currently have it set to 45% reduction and its short as hell. Feels beautiful and crisp. Im still getting used to the short throw though. Ive missed a couple 2nd gear shifts because of how short it is
But it def does feel precise and smooth as hell.

yada yada yada...

Save yourself the cash. I had the "other brand" in my car till I drove my buddies car with a Megan Racing one. Swamped mine out for a MR one. Cost way less and is just as acurate. I used the MR shifter and underhood bushings. TIGHT THROWS!

I installed the B&M, shifter base bushings.. Didn't make much of a difference but it felt nicer.. the cable bushings (under-hood) bushings definitely help.. no more slop in the cables..
