You guys have been tuning for an hour and half. Where's the updates? I want to see some dyno sheets, damn it

 

I just talked to Smogrunner and he said there were a few problems with the Evo. First, the blow off valve was put on backwards, which could have caused the car to really lean out. Second, the 02 sensor was not properly put back into place. I am not too sure what kind of problems this created. It either was throwing CEL lights, or maybe it was not due to the sensor not being properly placed in its bung. That was all I got because Smog had to go...

Just got finished talking to Smogrunner. Looks like the car made about 269 horses with the dynoflash. Shiv just installed the Exede and they are hitting the high 280's on pump gas. They said the numbers are low because the car is running an aftermarket turbo back exhaust w/ the stock cat. Also, there are no cam gears or cam shafts. The spool up is not exactely what ATP advertises either. Shiv said that spool up is faster than the bigger 3037 turbo. I got cut off and that was about all the information that was available.

Man, thats a let down. I hope they are able to get some more power out of it than that. For $3,000, I would expect it to be atleast in the 300's. Guys out here are hitting 300whp on a dyno dynamics dyno with the stock turbo.

Yeah, that's what I thought. We still need to wait to see what happens with further tunning and a road test of the car. Its just that a lot of us were expecting miracles with this turbo, which might happen in the next few hours. I don't think that boost was seen 200-300 rpm later than stock (as advertised). It is just a waiting game now to get the results...

 

FYI... Smog was incorrect. Shiv has not installed the XEDE yet. He just loaded up a baseline XFlash and is currently fine tuning it. Once done, he'll still in an XEDE and do a race gas map.

 

This car has STOCK: cat,camgears,cams....

Therefore high 295whp is not bad.

on your dyno, and considering that was a from scratch tune, though the mail i'd say its pretty good since you guys mad only 11 hp more. congrats!
