That is slow! I have about about 1k in mods in my car and run 13.0.

You said you're at redline in 4th and your trap is only 107?? Did I read that correctly?? I can run to about 125mph at 7500rpm.

Three good points made I totally agree with.. Hitting redline at 106mph you need Al to raise your rev limiter. 2nd Tym for Buscher reputable driver and if i remember correctly they got real aggresive and ran that thing on the edge with the AEM Ems. And 22psi on race gas is a lil low and the 24-25 spike that tapers down probably will get you a low 12. Couple tweaks and your in the ballgame.

It's part driving, part tune, part track.

Everyone with Buschur Stage 4 is running better mph than you - You should be 112-118 depending upon weather and gas and fuel management.

I ran 13.1 @ 102 (E-town, fast track) , so driving is definetly a factor.
With a Buschur Intake/Turboback/Dynoflash/NO MBC- half93/half112 I ran 106mph.
That pass was a 13.2 on a very slow track, I consistantly run 13.3's there @ 102.

Now if you are talking about spiking up to 25 and dropping to 22 by redline that is another story.... but if your PEAK boost is 22 then that explains your low trap speed and slow ET.

still, all those mods and 22 psi and you run a 13? thats sad.....

my friend is running 12.7's with a mbc, turbo-back w/ hi-flow cat, intake @21 psi on PUMP gas. (93 oct)

I ran 13.043@ 105.99 on Ca 91 octane w/ intake and exhaust... I was nowhere close to redline and I had my worst launch of the day 1.94 you need to be running faster no other way to put it...

I wasn't saying his only problem was the boost level Most average drivers at average tracks can pull 12's in a stage 4 car no problem. I personally have run 12.511 @ 110.56 on 19 psi (spike to 21 droping to 19 at redline) on pump gas... but there is no way in hell I will run Mid 11's at 118 in my car at my current power level. I am not willing to push the limits of my engine as far as Dave and Tym, and I am not willing to drive it like I stole it like Tym does.

In other words:

Average driver pump gas daily drivable tune with BR stage 4 = mid 12's at 109 to 112 mph.
Average driver race gas conservative tune with BR stage 4 = very low 12's to very high 11's at 113 to 115.

Profesional driver on pump gas with BR stage 4 extreme tune = low 12's around 115 mph.
Profesional driver on race gas with BR stage 4 and extreme tune = mid 11's at 116 to 120 mph.

MPH should be consistant, or at least close, irregardless of your driving.

Slow shifts (like I tend to do saving my drivetrain) tend to result in slower trap speeds than wailing on the tranny

i ran a 12.92 at 105.39 with a 1.7 60 ft when track temp was over 90 degrees and wickedly humid. Performance mods on the car were turbo back exhaust, HKS RS intake, Hard intercooler piping, and boost controller running 21psi. This was also my first time ever drag racing. the launch made a huge difference, i shaved off 7 tenths by changin my launch technique.

Very true. I can trap 2-3mph faster than my friend in his car every time we go to the track. But that is a very low mph. I think you should get your car dyno'd and see whats going on. If it dynos where it should then you just need to keep going to the track and get some practice

I agree with you 100%

My car is making enough power to get me down to a 12 flate to high 11 at 115 mph with some good driving and good track conditions. I dynoed out at Axis racing on their dyno dynamics dynometer and pulled 333 HP at the wheels on 105 unleaded (aprox 390 equivelent on an AWD dynojet). I understand that I need practice and need to be meaner to my car if I want that low 12 / high 11 second time slip The local 1/4 mile track has test and tune on Tuesday nights. Almost every Tuesday night this year the track has been closed due to rain Only been open twice to the best of my knowledge and I have gone both times.

if you have stage-4, you might as well just get the Buschur-Flash, it makes a lot more power than just the S-AFC
