injector and pump- somewhat of a problem
injector and pump- somewhat of a problem
Just installed my stage 4, 680cc injectors i believe, and the 255 pump...
Starts, idles, drives fine....
when i get on it a little it sputters and hits fuel cut and whatnot...tried setting the MBC at 20 where it was but spiked to like 23, then turning it down a tad made it sputter slightly less...
Let it be known that i have absolutely no tuning done on the car...No SAFC or flash of any sort...Basically that is what i think is the problem, correct?
Just need a 2nd opinion, or any other ideas?
Also thinking of putting in a colder plug than stock tomorrow

Ummmm..... yeah. So, you put in larger injectors, but have no way of controlling the extra fuel. Therefore, you're dumping so much gas in the engine that it can barely keep itself running. The sputtering is not fuel cut. It is the inability to completely ignite an overly rich air/fuel mixture. A colder plug would only worsen the condition. Put your stock injectors back in until you correct it via Speedlimit's advice.
You are definitly running too rich. Your ECU is opening your new fuel injectors for the same amount of time with more fuel flow that it was using for the stock, lower flowing injectors.
Oops - missed the cams in your sig...

Yeah, you definitely need a bit of fuel management.. closed loop and idle after the car warms up will be ok.. but open loop will blow black smoke and foul your plugs in no time.. If you need a quick fix, pick up an S-AFC.. but Personally my (admittedly biased) recommendation is the TurboXS Utec..
When I posted I had missed the cams in your sig. I was thinking you were running pig rich on stock cams with bigger injectors and the high flow pump. Whith new cams in addition to the other changes, you absolutely needed proper tuning to be sure of what your car was/is doing.
