Has anyone else actually been able to install the ATS 3 plate carbon clutch? Mine is just not fitting right. I know some people are running it. What's the trick????

Going through the same thing

Could anyone provide a step by step on how to install this clutch ? should I re-use my stock throw out bearing ?

 

I have installed about 3 of them... never had any issues with the install. Everything went like clockwork. Actually have the triple carbon clutch in the shop car, and its been in there for over a year with 400+ launches and no issues. All you have to do is follow the directions on where to shave the bellhousing, flip the clutch fork, set the end gap on the clutch rod at 3mm. And your done, its not very hard.

How far off of the floor is your engagement with the ATS? I am all out of adjustment and I'm still not getting the right height. Any suggestion?

 

Everyone I have done has engaged about 1/2 to 2/3 from all the way up.. about the same distance as the stock one.

The ATS should have come w/ a Toyota throw out bearing. Dan @ Godspeed helped me out a LOT w/ mine about a year or so ago.

 

Can anybody scan the diagram or step by step instruction that came with their ATS clutch ? mine is in Japanese
