BTW: Do you have your 272s installed? How do they idle? I have a set in my toolbox I might install, I'm probably going to trade them for HKS and a free install.
if i can't get what i want out of the 580 w/ my utec, i'll switch to the ems, then maybe the map sensor. i do have the 272's installed. let's just say that even the grand national guys get a bit worried when i come around. sounds insane.

Now, I dont have my engine here to check this as its currently being at the machine shop. Does the feed come from the block? If so, is there a tap for it already or I need to make one?

thanks once again
i'll take this one. the oil line runs down to the oil filter housing. there's a hole there just waiting for the new line.

Turbo Kit

David:
First let me say those are great numbers you guys are putting down! But obsiously its not much of a suprise with the quality of work buschur does Enough kissing up! haha.. I had a couple questions. I am currently in the hunt for a turbo kit and so far your br580 is looking good. In 3 weeks i have a appt to get my car tuned and dynoed and i wanted a kit before then. Is this possible if i get ahold of you Monday 6-28-04? Also what is the max psi i could run with this kit with the upgrades i have listed below?

HKS 272/272 cams
HKS Cam Gears
HKS Downpipe
Perrin Cat Delete Pipe
HKS Carbon Ti Cat Back
HKS Intake
Unorthodox Pulley Kit "Will be taking off the underdrive pulley if anybody wants it!"
AEM EMS switch to MAP
GM Boost Solenoid to be controller by AEM
Greddy 1000cc Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
ACT Clutch and Pressure Plate
PLX Wideband

I guess the main question i have is that i will be running two maps one for the street and 93 octane and one for the track at 116 octane. So what is the max boost i could run on the street and at the track using you BR580 turbo kit? and also what are the internals good for before you should start thinking about upgrading? Any info would help and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Chris

Ya but i got a great deal on the injectors since i bought allot of stuff at once. I only payed $98 a injector brand new for the Greddy 1000cc so why not? And with the aem it doesnt matter anyway. I will not have to buy another injector for the rest of the time i own the evo!!. But you are right about the ARP headstuds. Gonna order those Monday but how much psi do you think is possible with the BR turbo setup?

Thanx
Chris

Ill be running 93 around town and 116 at the track even though i was thinking about trying that new import gas made by vp racing that is 120+? Anyway thats just nuts i never knew that the stock internals would be able to handle so much psi. But very good to know so i can see what i can do at the dyno.

Thanx guys
Chris

the only downside to standalone is that it disables the obd-II function so it will never pass emissions an UTEC with MAP sensor would be the best setup for street
