541 whp........not too hard to do.
EVOMIND,
The BR580 kit could be tuned with the AFC. You are going to sacrifice some horsepower with the large turbo doing it this way though. Still an increase over stock but the EMS is going to be a huge improvement.
Ang Wen Yen,
Our turbo kit uses the factory heat shield on the exhaust manifold.
Jerastan,
The information you were given about the stock MAS is way off. The MAS is a restriction for sure, I don't see it making anywhere NEAR 500 hp, no way. Let's pretend you do make 500 hp through the MAS, my guess is when you finally take it off and free up the intake the way it should be the car is going to pick up an additional 80 hp, atleast.
Feldguy,
Yes, you could add the BR440 kit to our stages only partially done. The fuel pump, injectors, exhaust, airfilter and upper i/c pipe kit would be the minimum parts that I think you should have.
Jigga,
Correct on the oil feed line. It goes down to the oil filter housing. The plug goes to the old spot on the head. The oil filter housing has two fittings in it. The one closest to the drivers side is where the new fitting goes for the feed line. Run the new feed along side of the oil cooler line, you can wire tie it to that line to hold it steady.
We are going to try and shoot some pictures of the kit today so can throw a simple set of instructions in with the kits for the oil feed and water bypass lines.

quick question....why would anyone get the br500 kit when the br580 is only 200 bucks more?? is it driveability or what?? spool up differences maybe?? just curious. what would be total parts and labor if done at your shop david for the 580 kit, the standalone, the tuning, etc??
and does anyone know how i would pass emissions?? would they just do a sniff test, or what???
thanks

Like odie said, the difference is mainly in the fuel management to make it work its best. BR580 turbo kit is $2500, AEM EMS is $2400-that includes the wideband, sensors, wiring and fittings to install sensors. Install on the turbo kit and EMS would be $350. Tuning on the AEM EMS is no charge if the car is here and we install it with the rest of our parts.
Not sure what you are going to do on the emmisions. Without the OBD diagnostic port being functional as far as we know they would have to do a sniff test. With the AEM and a good catalytic converter in place we don't see a problem with getting the car to pass an actual sniffer test at the tailpipe. The tuning would have to be done with a four gas analizer before you went in for the test.
