BR580 Install

So the BR580 is installed and the car is over @ Axis Power Racing, here in St.Louis. Ron is installing the Magnus Intake, Custom upper I/C pipe, Tial BOV, MAP conversion, Sard 280 pump, Sard FPR, Sard 770cc injectors, and Perrin rail. I'm thinking we will be putting it on his dyno mid next week. He'll be tuning the UTEC for the street w/ 93 first, then track w/ 110. The head is built w/ JUN internals, so I'm praying for some good numbers.

Looks awesome, but buy a new intake without the MAF. K&N Makes a long filter (about 10 inches long that fits on the Buschur pipe without the MAF.

i'm not using the buscher pipe. it's a 3" from AMS. are you running a map conversion? if so, how's the daily driving? nathan from txs advise against the map due to driveability issues. also, guys are pushing over 500 whp w/ the maf, so?

why did you choose magnus sheet metal intake? it seems to be missing flanges which might be useful if you ever decide to enlarge throttle body right? cuz hte br unit comes flanged but i guess it's about 100 more.

any other reasons then besides price, are any tbs inherently better than others? seems like the design is so simple how can you go wrong?

well it's all in what you want out of your car. the magnus provides for good low end tourque as well as mid/high end, because of the plenum shape. From what I've read, the tapered plenums provide great low end.
