Stock boost controller only boosting 10 psi, any advice, thanks

I am planning on going the vishnu route and I just reinstalled the stock air box and reinstalled the stock hoses for the boost controller to the turbo. I did remove the restrictor pill. I know the hoses are in the correct location because on the turbo side regardless of the pill missing it is still on the same pressure line. As for the solinoid side the hose that has the white lines go on the top because when you look at the solinoid it has a white marking to it and the other hose which is solid black goes to the line closes to the head light. I also reset the ecu and I am only boosting 10-11 psi. does anybody have any insight on this and what I could do to fix it myself. I would hate to bring it in to the dealership because all you guys know the story about the dealearship. Thanks again.

The hose off of the stock T connection going to the compressor housing should have the second restrictor in it, double check its not on the wastegate side as that would limit the air that the solenoid sees effectively eliminating the stock bleed system and causing your car to simply vent at wastegate pressure (10.5 psi) as less air would be diverted to the solenoid. Should solve your problem.

Yep, you're missing the restrictor inline or have the hoses swapped. Easy to fix.

so does the stock t have two restrictor pills in it. I removed the one on the turbo side instead. if it does have two restrictor pills should I have just removed the pill on the waste gate side instead. Thanks again

The system has two restrictors, one in the shorter vac line off the compressor housing that goes to the stock T, and one in the line closest to the solenoid. The one in the line going to the solenoid is the one which should be removed when used with the Xede/X-Flash/Works P2, I would think the second restrictor on the compressor side is in place to limit the amount of air seen at part throttle.

I will take this apart again. I did remove the restrictor from the turbo side at the t and not at the solinoid side. I will reinstall it back again. by looking at the pill. does it matter which direction the whole faces when I put it back.

to noize and fury656 Thanks, guys like you makes this forum the best website in the world. I reinstalled the pill on the compressor side at the tee and removed the pill near the solinoid.now it boost up to 19-20 and tapers down tto 17-18. Thank God I don't have to go to the dealer to get that fixed. I thought it could have been a bad solinoid. now on to the next mode. I will be install the exede with the 1+ recipe. This is the one with down pie exhuast and cam gears even though I don't have cam gears. Shiv told me that it will work fine with this recipe but better with the gears installed.
