OK, i got some info. it's called the idle air control motor ( this is from the dealer). it cost about $306-309 but i have hook up that can get it for me for $250. now i still have a warranty, but i have a boost controller, down pipe, exhaust, i still have my cat converter still on. so would this void my warrenty? i think the boost controller would?

Them seeing it won't automatically void your warranty.. If they can claim your modification damaged the motor then they could void that portion of it..

Its likely that they won't question it if you have a good relationship with your service department... Things like this happen, I can tell you without any hesitation that this particular part can fail, but cannot fail due to any of your modifications unless you inadvertantly damaged wiring, which doesnt appear to be the case..
