Question Best Internals

What do you think to do first?
1 To change the TURBO or
2 to change INTERNALS

If to change internals- which one JUN or HKS or TODA RACING?

May be STROKER is better?

Help if you can
Thanks

Always do the internals first, “better safe than sorry” I would say

I would look for US made internals, at least as good as the Japanese stuff but at half the price or so. JE or Ross pistons, Crower or Carrillo rods, Eagle are also nice rods at very affordable price.

do the internals first, better safe than sorry when you fit that monster turbo!

i would go with a strocker. JUN is the best as its the easest to mate to a good turbo. also they rev much better than the bigger 2.3 (will go to 8.5k no problems, some of the 2.3 will only do 7.5k safely). Noriis Design runs one and is seeing 800bhp with only 2.1 bar of boost (turbo has run to 2.5bar on earlier set up). Simon is running a HKS 3240 and has no lag at all!

you could build on yourself. either custom stuff (exspencive) or stick a 4G64 crank in there with some strocker pistons and rods. this will give you a big 2.3 but choicing a suitable turbo becomes an issue. you will need nothing smaller than a GT35R if you want over 500bhp! moses in the UK is running this with (i think) a GT3540 (that a GT40 on the comp side)!!!!!

you could hold on till boost solutions finish their 2.3 kit. reputed to go to 9000rpm and take upto 1000bhp! or speak to RnR about their 2.4 4G64/EVO hybrid engine. they say they are running a BIG housing on a GT35R and getting very little lag.

hope this helps, any questions just ask. thanks CHris.

PS. there have bin a few threads knocking about on here about strokers, have a look they ay answer some of your questions.

Do you have to increase the cylinder size in order to fit the new strokers? (2.3,2.4, etc)

As for me, I think I go for hks 272/272 cams, head studs, rod bolts, and maybe valve spring. Tune it with aem ems or utech. You should pretty darn happy with the hp with those mods. If not, follow it with IC, and turbokits.

Try the GTM 2.3L stroker... Call 909-989-1970 and ask for Sam... Tell him that Doug said to call... They custom build their kit and their shop is amazing... You can definetly eat off their floors... The guys do excellent work...
