Haha, I know your vendor. He completely got out of the whole game of dealing with the public, and turned that all over to me....
(Don't believe me? His name is Takey, MarkTung on ebay )

I leave for a few hours and this post is 3 pages, that was fast.
Hey TurboMaestro, Yeah it was you post on ebay that i saw. Could you tell us about your experence with this turbo(Ti 9.8) or of others that you know. Now i assume that only the internal turbine parts are Ti, is there other parts on it that are Ti aswell? Is there even a wieght diffrence between the steel turbo and the Ti turbo, I would imagine its noting at all if only the internals are Ti. If it spools up faster does it hold peak boost longer? and what ECU problems will i run into with boost coming on earlier, since my ECU is stock for now ? thanks

Only the turbine wheel is titanium. If you do a search for this topic, some dumba**es posted that they have heard of the Titanium units failing prematurely and totally shearing off because of the less durable ti alloy. This is total nonsense, the shaft of the rotating assembly is still steel, so there are no issues related to wear with these units. Some total bonehead said that he thought they didn't ship the titanium turbos with the US units because titanium doesn't hold an edge as well as steel. That's pretty damn stupid, I've taken apart plenty of turbos before, and they blades aren't what anyone would call sharp....
The only weight difference in the ti unit and the steel unit is in the rotating assembly, the only part that matters on a turbo. From what I have seen and read from the UK, the ti unit just spools up sooner, that's it. Peak boost is sooner because of this, and the boost curve is the same shape with just a bit more at the beginning, at the lower RPMs. I don't see any ECU problems, I hope there aren't any LOL, as I am going to put one on my personal car next week or this weekend.
Sorry I don't have any more data, I just got my car 1000 miles ago, and have sold 3 ti units before this.....

Do you know if it holds peak boost longer since it hits it sooner? I want to mate it with 272 cams, and a Ti exhaust.

Sure, it holds peak boost longer just because peak boost is sooner. As it is the same compressor wheel, the boost falls from the peak at the same time, however. I might have the ol' RS dynoed before/after I add the TI unit, depends on how much dinero I have this weekend :cough buyaturbosomebody:

FWIW, I starting testing a 10.5 turbo housing on one of our shop EVOs today (cams, full exhaust, reflash, etc,). Clutch started slipping so I couldn't finish dialing it in. Good sign so far, I guess

Boost response is no more than 200rpm slower than the standard 9.8 housing. Seems to be noticeably stronger from 4000rpm on up. More tuning left to be done once the clutch is replaced.

You spelled Aprilia wrong! Only one "L". But it's okay.. i wasn't sure myself to tell the truth. I had to look over my shoulder just to make sure

I just rode up from the AMA Superbike races in Monterey yesterday. Took over 2 hours and my back and wrists still haven't recovered. Damn that thing suck for highway crusing. I never thought it would happen but I was actually starting to get jealous of the dudes on the custom cruisers. Well not really...
