BR440 questions
I agree and it honestly pains me to see it. There are a lot of issues with the kits going on and none of them seem to have been the turbo kit itself.
I have said it before, we did the entire EVO build with Staged upgrades in mind. Each stage builds on the next. This has worked well for us. The BR440 kit is actually getting some great phone feedback here. The turbo isn't so large that the tuning and parts combination becomes so critical.

none of the issues i experienced were with the turbo its self.... the only issue i had was the boost controller, and i think some of the issue i may have had, may have been the hose i used to come off the wastegate to the boost controller, since the wastegate is below the manifold, the hose got SUPER hot. so i put some termo-sleeve on it (good to 2000 degrees) and i now have NO taper, and no more spiking
btw dave, the thermo-sleeve i'm suing is similiar to the velcro thermo that you guys send with your kit.... however its not velcro it actually "slides over" but what brand is the velcro, i'd like some for other applications....i just can't find a source...

it was the boost controller however now i have the issue that the aftermarket BOV i'm using (Turbosmart) starts futtering on acceleration... (PoS) anyway, it spikes up to like 23, and then in a split second it drops to 20 and holds.

this is on a aftermakert turbo...
i tightened the BOV and tahts what fixed it from fluttering under accelleration... and basically all i did to correct the other issues was i added the thermo-sleeve to my boost lines to the boost controller, and cleaned the crap out of the hallman
