This thread isnt really about grounding wires. There are a million varieties out there for outrageous prices. Supposedly these Grounding Boxes work way better than the wires themselves. Trying to find someone who has used one...

But how do they work better? What's the theory?

ok, so i just called Lot USA. They said that the Box is Evo specific, and from the guy's description, it sounds like it looks a lot like one on that link above.

It connects to the positive and neg terminal of the battery, and also has a chassis ground.

The price is $310, and they said i had to contact a company called Promotion to find local distributors. The numer is 626-333-1400. curious.

now it sounds like snake oil... like those tornado air intake things, or the magnets you put around your fuel line.

there's real theory behind better grounding but why should I spoonfeed it to you? read the link I posted above!

$310 is QUITE pricey..... but if the gains are true - 12WHP - its well worth it. How many people have spent $200 or even $300 on an intake?

Now we need a Guinee Pig. Anyone wanna volunteer?

Perhaps we could get a group buy (after we find out if the gains are true.) Would anyone be interested?

Sounds okay, but $310 for what is probably a big capacitor and about $5 worth of electronics??? You can get a sweet HKS Circle Earth kit for much less, and have more bling, too...

I'd pay $310 for this box if it were truly dyno pruven for 12WHP+ on a stock car. I would imagine that on a well modified car, it would add even more WHP. I would prefer this over the grounding wires because it is just two wires and a box connected to the battery. To me, that is more bling and much cleaner than a bunch of wires.

From what I know about these boxes, they act like capacitors just like the ones guys have on their high power systems. What it does is that it stabilizes the voltage in the system. By keeping voltage stable, the ignition system stays consistant so the power is consistant, usually 14.7 volts. If you have a volt meter on your gauage pod you can notice the voltage fluctuate because the fan turns on and off and when it does the voltage fluctuate but by having this(box) the voltage is linear. Hope this helps.

Ex-Honda, thanks for the explanation. So do you believe that a capacitor can add the claimed 12WHP? seems fishy

Evo H8, I think you are close to buy this product... You could make an agreement with lot-usa that if your car doesn't make an additional 12whp after this ground box they return you money back.
My next mod is a ground system, but after this information about ground box I have to learn more how this system works and if it is safe.
