Instant 12whp In 5 Minutes
k270kmh - I believe that this box is safe. I doubt it could do anything to harm the motor. I also highly doubt that the company would guarantee me 12WHP with the mod... How would I prove it? Dyno before and after? They could argue that the dyno was done on a different day or different dyno...........
ex-honda is kinda going into detail what i said earlier... but its still questionable if the evo needs such an efficient grounding as this... i mean to gain 8-10whp means this is a major bottleneck for the evo, almost as much as freeing up the downpipe? hmm i dont know, im abit skeptical

I read couple review of this product from Asia car magazine. it average give any car 4-7 more hp and 2-5 lb torque.
then again i bet the same dude didnt know a capacitor is basically a bunched up wire kinda like your kidney is really just made of coiled blood vessels but still has a unique function that a normal group of vessels cannot do....
what about the apexi one...it gives prob the same power and its 179 here...

now the question that probably everyone has in the back of their mind, or are tired of hearing... will this void Mitsubishi's warranty... everyone knows that Mitsubishi makes one for the Evo's, yet... will an aftermarket grounding kit void it?
not worried about the warranty...i wonder how the apexi unit compares...its a better known brand here in the states...anyone have it? a couple whp for under 200 works for me
some big things mitsu warranty will attack is aftermarket clutch and boost controller..... they often times ignore the other things (ex: exhaust, intakes, grounding kits, rims)
Hello,
Speaking as an Electrical Engineer with just a tad of 'car' tuning experience, I think the grounding box does this...
Provides a 'smooth' path to ground which helps the noise factor on a lot of sensors. Computers like 'predictable' sensors. The capacitor stores a bit of charge which probably helps filter some of the strong DC current pulls a typical car goes through. Where do these DC currents come from? The injectors for one, electric fans second.
Another factor in a modern computer controlled car is by stabilizing the incoming voltage from the alternator the fuel system, doesn't have to compensate for fluxuations in current draw at the fuel pump and can fuel the car more consistently. Most 'good' systems will actually adjust the duty cycle of the injectors a little according to the voltage the fuel pump sees.
In general, electronic consistency means scratching the last bit of power out.
Would I personally get a grounding kit? Probably not until I got another computer (or flash), nice blow-off valve, a set of nice gauges, and some coil-overs.
Good Luck,
jcnel.
